Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the MOT Check website (motcheck.io) and the MOT Check mobile app ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
MOT Check lets you look up vehicle MOT history, valuations and history checks by number plate. Information is drawn from official DVLA records and official industry data sources.
2. Guidance only
Results are provided to help you make informed decisions and are believed to be accurate, but they are provided "as is". We do not guarantee that data is complete or error-free, and you should not rely on it as your sole basis for buying or selling a vehicle. Always carry out your own inspection and confirm finance or write-off status with the relevant provider.
3. Digital service
The Service provides digital information only. There are no physical goods and therefore no shipping. Where you purchase a digital report or feature in the app, it is delivered immediately and is non-refundable once delivered, except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including scraping, bulk-harvesting data, attempting to disrupt it, or using it unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its content and branding are owned by MOT Check or its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MOT Check is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the information provided. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the latest version will always be posted here.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
